Each month we focus on a cake that displays our commitment to creating innovative and diverse designs.
The following cake was designed for the retirement of a very special primary school teacher who taught for thirty years at Etchells Primary School in Heald Green. She devoted much of her life and her passion to teaching reception age children, so it was decided that the cake should reflect this. Some of her 'favourite things' are also featured in the cake, amongst the pile of presents - a dog, handbag and shoes and some jewellery.
The cake itself is a 12" square rich chocolate cake. The hand modelled sugar 'scene' is presented on an iced cake drum which can be lifted off as a keepsake.
